Brad, Amber and Melissa in admissions are great. Many of the nurses are ok, too many are not. The nursing supervisor Elizabeth is one of the good ones. PT is only weekdays and so far not impressive. They require you to jump through way more hoops than any other SNF and for what? Good luck getting a health professional to bother to call even to establish a care plan.
I saw their exercise room, it was with the kind of grab bars to work on, and lots of different devices to help with their exercises. All the other communities, mostly charge the extra $3,000 community fee, I guess for the grounds and all the stuff. The Windsong doesn't have additional charges per year to start staying with them. It's an older facility and appears more like a hospital because it is a nursing home; It's just different.

I have encountered a few nurses who have been very short and unhelpful throughout my grandmother's stay here. This facility has great amenities for the guests and family. They have various activities for the residents as well as exceptional care. They even provide daily and weekly rehab, checkups and doctor care for each patient, if needed. Overall, this is a good place that I feel meets all expectations for its guests. After all, I wanted my grandmother to have the best care possible and I feel the staff generally cares about all of their patients.
I like that she will be able to stay there once she no longer has savings and has to go on Medicaid. They have activities, church services, singing, bingo, movies, some physical therapy, and trips. What stood out was the special attention that she gets there. The staff come and get her to take her to meals. Sometimes they will help her style her hair.
